Changes in Forum funding policy: The escalating number of stored messages has been driving up the cost of running the Forums. From the opening of the Forums five years ago until now, members have not been asked to share any part of this cost.

Now, however, it's time for the Forums to start paying for their own keep. For August, members stepped forward and used the ChipIn widget to the right to contribute half again as much as was requested.

There are about to be other changes, however. Please see this message for more information.

It's up to all you registered members now to help pay to keep all those old messages you say you want! Let's see what you do.
