Rad: could you post your story sometime soon? You're leaving me in suspense. It sounds interesting...probably as interesting as some of the stories Jen has told me.

*glares @ Foxtail a little longer then reconsiders* Smile

I actually do have my own version of insanity. Hint: my new book - not about Miss Primrose - is about it. I would post the whole story online but I don't want anyone to steal it. I suggest that Rad not post too much for the same reason. Satisfied

Oh my God, Foxtail. Does that sound familiar?

Rad, I sincerely doubt that you can create a whirlwind, but it's entirely possible to know what someone's bra looks like. If you invite me to a private topic, I'll tell you something interesting.

On the Oath:

I took it (the second time when I was in college and far too old for it to have done any good.)

A note about our suitability to be wizards. There are two criteria to be met. First, you have to be the right kind of person, but second, there has to be a specific need, a problem only you can solve. You also have to be in the right place at the right time. The Powers That Be cannot spend the energy to make us all wizards. It would be wasteful.

Most of us will have to settle for being wizards of a more mundane sort. Smile

Just write.

jen, how do you do the private topic thing? And I did do the whirlwind-three times. Once before I wasn't really trying to, that time I was, and the other day I did it again.

Yeah, Rad. The whirlwind is sort of impossible. What I am suggesting has nothing to do with wizardry.

The way you invite me to a private topic is to click on my name (the one on top of the cat) and choose 'invite to private topic' from the menu. This might seem a pain, but I don't want Birdhead to think any less of me; she's really rational and smart.

By the way, did you ever watch A Beautiful Mind? It's about a guy who has the same condition you do if you really do think you created a whirlwind. Schitzophrenia - that's how it's pronounced - not spelled.

Well, hope to talk to you! Actually, if we're ever on at the same time, I could talk to you then if no one else comes.

moonsong:
i need to know the full oath. if you are willing, email me so you dont have to say it out loud. email me at rjag1992@aol.com

i want to prove that i have magic to my sisters. especially to my younger sister.please?? Another Sad Look

the oath:
i havent taken the oath because i dont know it. ive tried only once. i dont think it works. ithink it has to do with age. i dont think it would work very well on people over 20.BUT im only saying that because i dont know anything about the oath. im only 11 and i think it might work because im only a little bit younger than Nita was when she took the oath.help please.

i was going to try to take the oath, but i was afraid it wouldn't work without the manual. i'm going back to the library to get it and read it though. btw, i haven't read any of the other books. Miserable I'M DYING HERE! so...my point being i wouldn't know if the Oath changes or not.

hey, callahan! i share a body too! *glares at other people* i'm not wierd ok? but we're (fortunetly) the same gender.

punk,

The oath is unique to the person who takes it. No two wizards see it exactly the same way. And it changes somewhat for each wizard as they progress.

I think they are all projections of the real oath, as seen through the lens of each person's mind.

(oops. gotta go see how the eclipse is proceeding)

I think the oath is a promise that you can't easily break and if your willing to take the oath(I did) and it doesn't work you can still make a difference in this world. I MEAN THAT! Wink
