Thought this was relevant:

Dream Recorder

Essentially, it records your sleep states and makes a graph of you and whether or not you've moved. In deep sleep, you don't move, but while you're dreaming you do (slightly, at least). This way, it can tell whether you're dreaming or in deep sleep, and you can tell it to play a sound when you're dreaming. Over the course of multiple nights, the same sound can bring you (in your dream) to realise it is just a dream — and so turn it into a lucid dream.

It also has a friendly wakeup alarm system that awakens you in light sleep, so you don't get that tired and angry feeling of being awakened from deep sleep.

Sorry, it's basically just for the newer macbooks though — but a cool reason to get one.

---

On the actual topic at hand, I don't think I get enough sleep to properly remember my dreams or something to that effect, so I can't really say I've had any freaky ones. Usually, I can start a dream sequence by imagining a scenario and then falling asleep, but I don't recall any specific incidences of lucid dreaming right now.

I've never heard of a dream recorder, interesting. I don't always get enough sleep either. I've noticed that on the weekends or holidays such as the one I'm on now, I receive more rest so I tend to dream. Wiggle Smile

Maybe you should use your dreams to write stories or some fan fiction. I bet you could make a lot of money. Maybe thats why you dream of wizards the dreams are telling you something. Grin 'n' Bounce

Shanae: try not to double post, dearie. There's an edit button up at the top of your post. Big Grin

My dreams are all odd. None have ever come true or anything, though. I dream at least once a week and get some strange things. Usually, they start off normally enough, then go into weird things that only made sense while in the dream.

Sorry, I'll try not to double post next time.

That reminds me. I had this one dream twice. In this dream some guy lives in my house for awhile. I end up running away. The first time I end up in Las Vegas, the second time I don't know where I was. Confused

when i was little and still read "the boxcar children", i once dreamed that i was jessie and we had a secret hideout to get away from our evil parents who liked our cousin more than us and gave her a white pony. before that, i dreamt that me and my friends were running away from godzilla. now that i'm older, i usually am too tired to dream...i crash and burn at night.

I just had the weirdest dream...there was a flying bison, and i think it might have been something else that appeared like it, in a cubbord, and a kid wanted to "bink it" with a potion, and kept on shouting out that it would never be the same, and soemthing about his father...which is weird, since all my problems are with my mother. :P no idea what it was about...i was baby sitting them because there was a stampeed coming through and the mother was worried that they would get killed...and i was there, seperate from them, and it was them who had father problems...

I like crazy dreams, at least the ones with magic. I had a dream the other night, I can't remeber all of it, but I had magic and it was my 21st B-day, and there was a bad guy and I caught him. but I don't really remember the details. But I liked it, it was fun.

I like to hear about other peoples crazy dreams, I just don't like having them.

There was this one dream I had once where the world was divided. One half of the world was made out of machines and the other half was normal. The one with machines looked like another planet. I was some sort of detective and I ended up in this weird building on the machine side of the world. These machine things were chasing me. (if you have ever read Shade's Children by Garth Nix you can kind of get an idea.) I had a gun and apparently only I could save the world. When I ran out of the building the machines were looking for me. I found my mother and she had been shot in the head. Then I woke up. I was scared for about two weeks after that.

I sometimes have dreams that come true. Especily if I'm having a problem or have a realy hard decision to make. Most of the time I just dream about Wild Magic and dragons. I would have to say that the wierdest dream that I had was when I dreamed that my BF at the time, and I got into this big fight and never spoke to each other again. I kidd you not that it came true word-for-word, and in the same place too.

...i don't remember many crazy dreams. i talk in my sleep, walk around in my sleep, toss everything, including my sheets off the bed in my sleep,. (and that's in a perfectly all right dream), but don't rmember most of my crazy dreams. i only remember nightmares if my subconsiouse is trying to tell me something, usually, not just cause i'm scared.

Shanae- Oooooh, I <3 Garth Nix. You're dream, if it was anthing like shade's children, must've been creepy.

Hr. I think I just, for a moment, fell asleep on thr keyboard. And the dream was weird, and super short. I was handing a letter to my pen pal, smiling, and she was too, and I was on the swings, with my hair out; it is sunny and I think I was squinting a little. Then, I'm four and my mom is pushing me, higher and higher; there's sunlight everywhere. I'm happy and I can tell my mom is too. Then it kind of fades, and I'm not swinging at all, (I'm not anywhere really,) but I hear a dull thud near the end and I can't see anything. The thud, when I woke up, kind of scared me. Weird. And that couldn't've lasted more than about five minutes.

yeah, that was weird. You said it was no longer than five minutes, creepy. Argh
